From the factory, the radius rod is secured to the front subframe with a soft, fluid-filled bushing that breaks down prematurely. Its job is to absorb most of the braking load while locating the wheel and control arm for caster. However, when this bushing breaks down, it results in excessive wheel movement under braking and degraded performance and pedal feel. In extreme cases, they can even fail and pull the radius rod out. The Super Pro Adjustable Front Radius Rod bushings correct and prevent this issue - they also provide adjustability in caster.
