This NHRA legal drive shaft safety loop is a bolt-in application for the 1993-2002 Camaro and Firebird, it is designed to clear vehicles with long tube header set-ups. This item bolts to existing floor pan holes in replace of the factory tunnel brace and requires no welding. This is a must for tracks that require a safety loop for cars running faster than 13.99 in the quarter mile. The loop is constructed of 0.250″ thick mild steel with CNC machined mounting points for a superb fit. Drive shaft safety loop includes new hardware and installs in 30 minutes using basic hand tools. Drive shaft loop will not work with UMI tunnel mounted torque arms or similar tunnel mounted torque arms. It will clear with the stock torque arm, UMI transmission mounted torque arms and most aftermarket torque arms bolting into the factory location.
Drive shaft loop will fit– This front drive shaft loop has extra clearance and is designed to clear with most popular long tube header/y-pipe set-ups. This drive shaft loop have been confirmed to clear with the following systems – SLP, FLP, Hooker, Pacesetters with Pacesetter y-pipe, Texas Speed y-pipe, Kooks Custom Headers and American Racing Headers. This item may fit other exhaust systems not listed.
Drive shaft loop will not fit– This item is designed to work with long tube header systems and is not designed to work with the factory exhaust system. If this item must be ran with the factory exhaust system it will clear 93-97 V8 factory manifolds and y-pipe but will not clear 98-02 models with factory manifolds and y-pipe.
